Valentines Day DIY and treats!

Hey Guys!

Today I decided to make a blog post about the upcoming Valentines Day! Next week is Valentines day but, I wanted this in a week advanced so you can be prepared! This post will include the most affordable DIY you could possible get for Valentines day and three treats/drinks that you could have on Valentines day with your friends or someone special. With that said, lets get started!

When I think of Valentines day, I think of pinks and red love hearts!, and there is no better way to incorporate them into your bedroom by making a banner. The banner I made was the most affordable thing your could possible make this valentines day. The things you will need is fishing line and paint samples. You will also need all the other basic things like pens, pencils and scissors but they are quite self explanatory :) Almost all of these things you can find at home and paint samples are free and come in every single colour so the pattern and colour choice is endless! I chose to go with the pink and red colour theme and just branching off with different shades. The first step is to make a template of a love heart and I did this by folding a piece of paper in half and drawing half of a love heart. The I cut out the shape and I had a even love heart. After I had created a template I then traced that shape on the back of the coloured paint samples and cut all 6 out. Of course you can do as many hearts as you want but I just chose to go with 6. Then I laid out the piece of fishing line and placed the hearts out evenly and taped them down at the back. This creates a seamless, perfect DIY look great for valentines day. I hung this on my bed board, but you can put it any where.

On Valentines day you need some cute looking treats to have with friends or someone special. I have to food treats and one easy drink that I recommend to have on valentines day, or just really any day! The first treat is marshmallows dipped in chocolate. It is really that simple. All you need is melted chocolate, marshmallows, tooth picks (which I added cute love hearts on top my taping on cute love heart shaped paper) and sprinkles. You just dip the marshmallow in the chocolate then dip them in sprinkles, that easy! This was so delicious and super simple and I would highly recommend trying this out. A substitute for melted chocolate is nutlella, but I think that it to much of a hazelnut taste. My next treat is something that has to be made in advanced, red jelly. I made this by using the instructions on the box and when it was set I put some melted chocolate and raspberry MnM's on top. This looked super cute and also tasted really good. My last treat is a drink and I it just chocolate milk with whipped cream, chocolate, sprinkles and MnM's. I think this is perfect because it looks cute and its not something that you have on a everyday basis. So they are my three valentines day themed treats that are really simple and good if you are on a budget.

January DRUGSTORE Makeup Haul!

Hello everyone!

This Sunday, I am going to be hauling some makeup items I picked up in the last month. This is not really a new at the drugstore sort of thing, because in Australia, all the drugstore makeup places are not selling any of the new releases yet, so I have just been picking out makeup that people on YouTube and Blogs talk highly of. I would just like to say, thankyou to everyone who has ever read my blog, I am really enjoying blogging and have been planning and drafting so many exciting blogs for this year. I would really LOVE to know in the comments what sort of blog post you would like to see me do and are interested in, as I have some planned, but could easily use some more ides or inspiration. I am going to get hauling, but I jut wanted to let you know that I helpfully included links to all the products mentioned, if you just click the name of the product it will take you right to its website!

I am going to begin with Maybelline, as it is my favourite drugstore brand. The 24hr Colour Tattoo crème eye shadows are talked about so much in the beauty community, but I was not going to spend $11 per individual pot, so I waited when they were on sale, and picked up all the nude shades available. The 4 I own are 70 Barely Branded, 25 Bad to the Bronze,  45 Bold Gold and 35 Tough as Taupe. A review and better swatch of these plus any more I buy will be going up my blog in the next few months so look out for that! The other Maybelline products I picked up were the Colour Drama lipstick pencils. I really wanted to get the Nude Perfection shade, but everywhere I went it was not available, so I ended up getting the shade 140 Minimalist, 310 Berry Much and 420 In with Coral. So far, I have really been enjoying them and all the shades.
A palette I picked up from Priceline is the AC on Tour Contouring and Highlighting kit for light complexion. This includes 3 highlights and 3 contour/bronzer shades. I am planning to do a review on this palette in the future, so look forward to that.
Revlon sells some really nice Lip butters, and I picked these up from Trade Secret, for a really discounted price (Trade Secret does not have online shopping) . I got the shades 015 Tutti Frutti and 055 Cupcake. Again, I am planning on a separate swatch and review post with my other colours of this product. Kmart in Australia supplies a cheap makeup brand called OXX (not available on their website), and I got my hands on 4 of the lipsticks. I would definitely recommend using a lip brush for the application as it can come across streaky, but the colours are really nice, and for $2 its alright.
A brand I recently discovered in my town is called W7 (could not find these on any website, I just got them from Chemist Warehouse). I have heard of this overseas, but never realised it was available here. I got hold of two of the baked eye shadows, I am yet to use these but I am looking forward to try them out. The two shades I grabbed was Café Latte (the lighter shade) and Gold Dust (the darker one).
The last product is a blush by Elf and it is apart of the studio line. The shade is Twinkle pink and it is just a really nice blush. I am yet to build a opinion on this, but you will see if it is in a further favourites post if it is good.
So that were the makeup products I purchased in the last month. I have been trying to save my money to but more higher end makeup, as well as some online purchases, so if you want to see what is on my wish list, let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoyed reading this Sunday and I will be seeing you in a week!

Highschool Tips

Hey Guys!

You may or may not know, but, in Australia we are about to begin school again, so I decided that I would let you all know 10 helpful high school tips. I have been in high school for a few years now and a majority of these tips I have found helpful for me, so I hope they are helpful for you. If you have any high school tips, let me and everyone else know in the comments.

1. Be Brave! Now when you first start high school, join a club or get assigned a new class, it can always be difficult to make friends if you don't know anyone. When I started high school, I used these 4 conversation starters to get to know people, these were, what's your name? my name is ___, what did you get up to on the holidays, what primary school did you go to and what are you most looking forward to this year. Of course there are many other ways to talk to someone and get to know them, but its always best to just be brave and get yourself out there!
2. Now something that may seem weird but I definitely recommend you do for many reasons is to pack your own lunch. At my school, we have lunches there, but the line is incredibly long and takes you half the lunch to get your food, plus your spending all your money which you could be spending or saving or something else.
3. Staying organized is my top tip. Get a planner or a diary to plan out homework and assignments because it can really help you focus on getting good grades.
4. Something that I didn't really do, but would suggest you all do is to join clubs and school activities. You can broaden your friend groups and talents but I was just nervous and was not really keen.
5. Now this one is for all you girls, if you are on your period and having to change your pad, you will know that when you rip it open it can be very loud, so I suggest you tear them open before you pack them in your bad to school, as it is quicker and quieter.
6. Tip number six is to try and build a good relationship with teachers. This is because when you want to apply for jobs they can write nice letters about you, they can also help you with homework for other subjects and they will just always be there for you for advice.
7. The seventh tip I have is if you just want to not go to school one day for no reason at all, go. You WILL miss out on something, for school or socially, only miss a day if you really are sick or family problems.
8. Now, there will come a time in school when you will fail a test, but don't stress, worry or be caught up about it, in most cases, it wont affect you at all.
9. Try not to slack off on Homework, I know you may not want to do it, but as soon as you get it, do it then you wont have it worry about it latter on.
10. Now my last tip would have to be the one to take away from this ifit could only be one, and that is to be yourself. If someone does not like you for who you are then there is no point in being there friend.

So that's it for my 10 high school tips. Let me know in the comments your tips and the best one. Don't forget to follow this blog on the left and I will see you next Sunday,

Bye x

Real Techniques Brush Review

Hello Guys!!

Welcome back to my blog, I hope you are having a wonderful day and had a great week, and I hope you are looking forward to reading my blog post this afternoon. I have been wanting to talk about my Real Technique brushes for a very long time but have finally decided to sit down and talk about them with you guys. I am only going to talk about five of them, but have plenty more to discuss about. I am going to be talking about the good and bad of the brushes, as well as the price and what they are used for. Some quick background info about the brushes is the different handle colour. The silver and white handled brushes are limited edition, but the silver handle ones I have are still available, the orange  coloured handle is for face, purple for eyes and pink for all over. Some of the brushes I own I got in sets and you can not get individually but these are brilliant brushes and great for beginners in makeup and every cent is worth it, but I would recommend getting them off a website called iHerb because they are so much cheaper compared to Priceline and Terry White Chemist. I will talk about iHerb more in tis post like the price comparison and shipping as they are an incredible website for us makeup brush loving ladies. With all that background information being said, lets get started with the review.

The first brush is the Buffing Brush. This is perfect to blend in your foundation or concealer to begin with, but you should definitely use a makeup sponge to give the face product a flawless finish, because it can leave some streaks. This is also great for blending out powder but it is a little denser if you prefer that. This could also be great to blend out cream contour as it is dense and perfect shape.  This brush is apart of a set with three other brushes, two of which I am mentioning in this blog. At Priceline, this set is called Your Base/Flawless Core Collection, and it is $47.50, and on the iHerb website, the set is $24.92, so it is much more affordable. Shipping is also at a great price, and you get 10% of your first order.

A Duo-Fibre face brush is something everyone needs and this one is by far my fav! I use this brush everyday to blend in my powder and it works excellently. It is so stunning with the silver handle because it is limited edition, but I have seen that it is still available so you can still pick this up. This set is called Nic's Picks, and I noticed that is unavailable on the Priceline website, but I do know that there are plenty of other places they sell them at, and it is worth checking it out at Priceline just in case, but I do know that it cost $69 for the five brushes. You can get this on iHerb and it cost $41.54 so it is so much more affordable.

Available in the Core Collection I mentioned earlier, is the Pointed Foundation brush. This isn't my favourite brush, but it an okay brush. It leaves streaks and is not suitable to do a full face of foundation as it is so small but I do suggest using this for concealer or primer as it would take so long to do your full face of foundation with this. I mentioned earlier the prices, even though this isn't my favourite brush this collection is still worth it.

Another brush available in the Core Collection is the Contour Brush. I love this for contouring or lightly bronzing. It is also the perfect shape to set under eye concealer as all the Real Technique brushes are incredibly soft! It blends out bronzer incredibly well and packs it on well too! Like I said earlier, the price comparison of iHerb and Priceline is listed above.

My last brush I am mentioning in this blog is the Shading Brush. This is the perfect blending brush and basic lid brush as well. It packs on lots of product and blends it out effortless and soft. This I my favourite eye shadow brush and I definitely recommend it. On the Priceline website, this brush is $15! Where as you can get it on iHerb for $8.30, so this is so much more affordable.

So, that was my review of my five Real Technique brushes. If you want to see me reviewing five more of my brushes I would love to know! If you recommend any other brushes I would love to know in the comments as well. I hope you guys have been enjoying my blog, I have loved posting lately and have so many fun post planned for the up coming months.

See you next Sunday!

Maybelline 'The Nudes' Palette Review and Swatch

Hi everyone,

Today I decided that I would review and swatch the new(ish) Maybelline 'The Nudes' palette. This palette is quite new to us over in Australia, but I have seen people reviewing this product from America over a year ago, but I though I would review this anyway as it is very new to me and my collection. This palette contains 12 natural shadows, 7 are shimmers and 5 are mattes. 'The Nudes' palette is the perfect size for on the go and travel, and has a very convenient packaging as you can see all 12 shades with the clear plastic on the front. It has all the colours you need in one, for a day to night look, as the colours vary from light champagne and as black and all the colours in between! Something else I also love about this palette, is that on the back, it has a handy quad, trio and duo shadow looks, and the steps for each colour and where to apply. That is 13, go to looks at the back for your convenience, but of course you can mix it up if you want. Now, for handy application on the go, it contains the standard sponge applicator on one end, but also a flat, square brush at the other end to mix it up. This does seem all well and good for $25 and for 12 shadows, both shimmery and matte, which would make it around $2 for each eye shadow, but we have to talk about the pigmentation. The colour payoff on some of these shadows is not the greatest. The lighter colours are barely seen on the swatches on my arm as they barely build up, and still, the darker colours don't show up the best as well. Luckily, you can build them up quite a bit and they blend out magnificently with a high quality brush, but I feel as though Maybelline could have done better in the colour pay off department. Another bonus is that there is no fall out, so you don't have to worry about doing your eye shadow first, then your foundation as it does not matter.
Apart from some of these colours coming across a bit on the dull side, this is still a fantastic palette for makeup newbies. I love the four shades in the middle, a champagne matte, shimmery chocolate shade, shimmery gold (my fav!) and a shimmery plain brown, to create a great eye look. I am really looking forward to the release of the new, 12 eye shadow palette by Maybelline called 'The Rock Nudes' which is made up of darker, smoker colours, coming this month, but one thing I didn't realise was that they had 3 more 12 eye shadow palettes all ready that I have never seen in Australia. These three are 'The Blushed Nudes', 'The Bright's' and 'The Smokes' all palettes that I would love to get my hands on, but don't know where. I am definitely going to try and get my hands on them, so I will keep you updated when I do.

Well, that's if for my review and swatches of the Maybelline 'The Nudes' palette. I would really love it if you followed my blog to be notified when I post a new one each Sunday. I hope you have been enjoying the new year, I know I am and I am also looking forward to the release of all the new makeup products to review for you guys,

See ya next Sunday! xx

2015 Favourites

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to my blog and the first post of 2016. I wanted to start off by letting you know my New Years resolution, and that is to blog more consistently, because in the past I have been very inconsistent so I want to make a change! I would also like to know in the comments what your New Years resolution is because I would love to know as well as your 2015 favourites. To start of the New Year, I wanted to go over 2015 and talk about all my favourite beauty and fashion items. I have 10 really awesome things to show and I think that they will stay very popular in the new year.

I am first going to begin by talking about my fashion favourites and I will definitely continue to wear all this things this year because I love the way they fit and look. The first item I have been loving is kimonos. I feel like they are really awesome pieces that help jazz up a plain old boring outfit if you bring in a really fun print. They are really good swimming suit cover ups as well and look really good when you wear them to the beach or pool. The one that I decided to show you is from Ice Fashion and its this beautiful black with coloured flower print on it. I am always wearing black clothes so this really works but helps to add colour to what was once a boring outfit. Another item that I have just been loving is high neck tops. I think these look great with any out fit and can be layered really effectively. The two that I decided to share are both my favourites, the navy blue and white striped one is by Temp and this is more of a turtle neck, and the black and white striped one is from Ally and it has a high, square neck that fits quite tight fittingly. These are both staples in my wardrobe! The last fashion favourite of mine is a pair of shoes by converse. They are the low cut white one and I absolutely adore these. I am pretty sure these will never go out of fashion because they are so versatile and go with so many outfits. I am so glad I own a pair of these because they help me to transform any of my outfits.

Beauty favourites was definitely the hardest part to write up about, because I tried so many amazing products this year. Most of these things you have heard about, but I just quickly want to go through them again and tell you why me, and many other people love them. My first beauty fav of the year is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder. I can not explain how much I love this, it just works so well on my skin and makes it look so even and flawless. Next is the Babylips candy wow in raspberry. This is such a beautifully formulated lip crayon that has the perfect amount of colour, and moisturises your lips at the same time! Not many companies can do that. The Benefit Instant brow pencil was my go to brow product. I discovered this by going to Benefit and asking one of the lady's to try some brow products on me. This was the only one that didn't make my eyebrows look like caterpillars, and I have been using it ever since. My go to eye shadow for 2015 would have to be Essence 'Cappuccino, Please!' Itsnot only has the sassiest name, but it is such a gorgeous shade to wear all over your lid.  As for mascara, my favourite would have to be the Rimmel London Wake me up Wonderful mascara. Not only does it has a amazing fresh smell, but it makes my lashes look so long and full without being chunky and thick, definitely going to be re purchasing in the new year. As for lipsticks, my favourite would have to be by Revlon, and it is the colour burst lip butter in 050, Berry Smoothie. This has the perfect amount of shine and colour pigmentation, but doesn't leave my lips feeling dry and cracked. My last 2015 favourite is a scent and it is Taylor Swifts Incredible Things perfume. If you have not smelt this perfume, you have been living under a rock because it is so wonderful and fresh.

2015 was such a amazing year for beauty and fashion and I am so thankful to have been blogging for almost one year. I may have not been the most consistent blogger, but when I did I put in all my efforts to make it perfect. I can not wait to spend another year, hear apart of Blogger and I am so excited to explore what 2016 has install for beauty and fashion, and bring you guys along. I would really love to hear from you guys in the comments, letting me know your 2015 favourites and I would also love to know if you have a blog because I would definitely check it out and reply. Just by simply leaving a link toThankyou for a wonderful 2015.

What I Got For Christmas 2015

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

OMG guys! It is finally the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas. The time of year where we catch up with friends, family and eat all the food we can. I hope everyone had the best day on Friday, and you received all you wished for. I decided that I would share with you all what I got for Christmas because my favourite video to watch on YouTube is what I got for Christmas, so I thought, hey, bloggers can do that to. I am not going to show you everything because that would take me so long to photograph, type it up, and it will take you a long time to read, so I just picked out some of my favourite gifts to share with you guys. But, before I start I have to say the typical disclaimer that I am not bragging or showing off in anyway, but that is the truth. I would never write this up just to put it in all of your faces, I am extremely thankful for everything I got and couldn't wish for a better family. With all that fun stuff been said, lets get started!

The first thing I received was some Maybelline makeup products. These include the Nudes palette, the Instant Age Rewind concealer, Lash Sensational mascara and Baby skin. I then got a set of three Nyx Butter glosses that I am planning on doing a swatch and review post on, a top coat nail polish and my first EOS lip balm. I also got this awesome makeup bag that is so useful for traveling and going places and the last beauty related thing I got was a perfume by Jessica Mauboy as well as the shower wash and lotion. Next I got two books, Binge by Tyler Oakley and this fashion book that you fill in. I also got this navy blue Nike sports bra and a pair of awesome bikinis. Lastly I got this adorable trendy pen holder that I can not wait to start using. I also got a white Ice watch and some Pandora rings but I completely forget to take pictures.

And there we have it, what I got for Christmas 2015, blog edition. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this, I would really love to know what you all got for Christmas so you can let me know in the comments. If you have tried any of this stuff then I would also like to know your opinion on it and yeah. I hope you guys had a great 2015 and I will see you all in 2016,

I will be only listing what it is, how much it is, what it is valued at (if the product tells you) and what the set includes, as it would be extra long if I said my personal option, but it would be stupid if I put something in this list that I didn't like, so just trust me its all good. As you may know there is 5 days until Christmas, and your budget may be running a little tight and you still may need to get presents for your daughter, niece, granddaughter, sister or best friend, so, if you want to top the best present charts and get a bang for you buck, you better read this long list! Christmas Wish List

Hey Guys!

Today is my first blog post for the month of December and, with that I decided that I would share my Christmas wish list. This could give you help in what you want to ask for this season, or just general cool things that you want to buy. I would also like to say a disclaimer that I am not expecting everything on this list, that is why it is called a wish list, so I don't want you to think I am bragging. I also am getting back into blogging, again, I have the next three months of  blog ideas all listed and ready for me to draft these holidays so get excited! You should also definitely follow my twitter and this blog to be notified when a new post is up. With all that being said, lets get listing!

The first thing I am wishing for is the Instax share smartphone printer. Basically, it is like a polaroid camera for your phone, except you take and edit the picture on your phone, then send it to the printer with the free app and it comes out just like a polaroid picture. To go hand in hand with that I would like some polaroid film for my printer and polaroid camera because I am always needing that. The next item on my list is by Maybelline, and its the Age Rewind Under Eye concealer, and I just want this to brighten up under my eye, not for age rewind purposes because I don't exactly need that. A very cute set that I have heard quite a bit about is the Australis mini velourlips matte 5 pack in nudes and pink. I have never tried anything from Autralis, let alone there lip products, so I think this will be a good sample and they look really lovely. Some other sets that will help me broaden my makeup skills is the Real Techniques 'Deluxe Gift Set', 'Sculpting Set' and 'Eye lining Set'. I am always needing makeup brushes and I have heard really good things about these so it will be a big help. A pair of shoes made it to my list and it is these black with tan sole sandals with the black strap that covers yours toes, and then another around your ankles with a buckle. I have the white pair and I really like them so I am really wishing for the black pair. The last two items are books and it is the Tyler Oakley Binge book and Zoellas' Girl Online On Tour novel. These are just essential books and I am just so keen to read them!

And that is it, an insight into the things I am wishing for this year. I would really like to know what you guys are wishing for this Christmas, so let me know in the comments bellow or on twitter. Also, thankyou for almost 400 page views, it just feels like yesterday I hit 200. Thank you all for sticking around and I will see you all next Sunday!

Perfume Collection

Hello Guys!

Welcome to my blog, and my first post for the month of November! This morning, I a going to be talking about my perfume collection. This is not a full collection, but a few of my favourites, because I have plenty of smaller sample perfumes as well as body mist and a few other perfumes I am currently not using. (I hope my explanations of the scents are not too bad, ahah)

I will be listing all the perfumes in somewhat of an order from the top left, which is the white bottle with gold lid:
- Taylor Swift Incredible Things ~ light, florally scent
- Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck ~ heavy flower scent
- Beyoncé Orange Heat ~ fresh scent
- You & I One Direction - Very girly, floral scent.
-The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus ~ fresh and light water lotus scent.
- Lady Gaga Fame (Knock Off) ~Dark smell.
- Beyoncé Red Heat ~ Dark smell similar to fame but more florally.
- Beyoncé Purple Heat ~ Flower scent and girly like You & I but more heavy and strong.
- Katy Perry Killer Queen ~ Strong, different smell that I can not explain.
- Taylor Swift Wonderstruck ~ Very similar to the other Wonderstruck perfume but a little more lighter.

So they are just a few of my fav perfumes at the moment. They are all wonderful perfumes and I definitely recommend them all!

DIY Jewellery Hanger

Heyyyy Guyss

Today, I have decided to create another fabulous DIY, inspired by Urban Outfitters. It is the iconic twig jewellery hanger, that cost under $10! Now, I checked there website and there version of this is $30 which is extremely expensive for something that is made out of 3-4 items. Of course, I made sure this was extremely customizable for you guys, because you can spray paint the twig whatever colour you want, and use whatever type of string and hooks. This is honestly the perfect personalised gift for that fashionista girlfriend of yours! Lets get started!

Materials:
- Twig (I found this from the park down the road from my house)
- Hooks
- String or thick yarn
- Spray paint (I used gold but you can use whatever colour)

1. Find your twig and cut it to the right size, and make sure the edges are neat and not frayed, and it is also a thick enough size to hold your necklaces and screw in hooks.
2. Spray paint your twig whatever colour you would like and set it to dry.
3. Screw in your hooks evenly spaced apart. I did five but depending on the space and how long your twig is that can be customized.
4. Tie and wrap around the sting or wool a bunch of times and then make the length and then wrap it around on the other side.
5. Hang it on your wall with a command strip or hook.

And there you have it, your own Urban Outfitter inspired jewellery hanger for under $10. I think this looks so cool in my room, and adds colour and also displays all of my necklaces. If you made one of these yourself, I would love it if you tagged me in your recreation on twitter at blog_beautybits. Also, thankyou so much for 300 page views, it just felt like yesterday we hit 200!

Elf Brightening Eye Colour Quad Review

Hey Guys,

This evenings post is a review on Elf's Brightening Eye Colour Quads, which I own three of. I will be mentioning them all individually and each colour from left to right, and reviewing the packaging, price etc, at the end. If you haven't all ready, you should go follow my twitter, blog_beautybits and this blog. If you have any makeup suggestions that you think I should review next time, let me know in the comments and I will be happy to make it happen!

The first palate is called Brownstone, number 2012. It has a light cream colour that is matte, a medium chocolate brown that is also matte, a darker brown with a hint of shimmer and a deep black brown with some more shimmer. These colours are not all totally pigmented, but with the potential to be builded up and create a high quality finish. These colours are a perfect match together, to make a everyday look that can be easily transformed into a evening look with the darkest colours.

The second palate is called Nouveau Neutrals, number 2004 which is the most colourful quad out of them all. The colours include a light shimmery mermaid green, a dark shimmery green, a light pinkie colour and a orange/brown shimmery colour. These colours are again, not highly pigmented but are very buildable, but I would only ever use the last two colours as they are more natural compared to the greens that I usually stick away from.

The final palate I own is called Butternut, number 2001. All the colours in this quad are shimmery and the colours are a similar light brown to Brownstone, a darker pinkie colour to the Nouveau Neutrals quad, but is still light, a richer chocolate brown then the first palate and a basic brown. As every other quad, the colours need to be builded to create a high quality finish, but the potential is there.

Now, onto general information about the quads. The price of these on the Australian Elf website is $1.50, but you can get them at Kmart for a little bit more at $3, which is still very affordable. The package include a double ended sponge brush which is useless to me, and a mini mirror that is also useless under the brush. They are quite small which is easy for traveling and the packaging is not a bother to me. Overall, you get what you paid for but I defiantly think that Brownstone is the best out of them all.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first review on my blog. I really worked hard to bring you guys the right information to make the correct decision on wether or not to buy them. I have actually heard Tanya Burr talk about The Nouveau Neutrals quad and say it was quite comparable to a Mac eye shadow in her $20 makeup challenge a while back, so if that's not convincing I don't know what is!

Benefits of Drinking Water

Hey Guys,

Today I decided to make a blog post about the benefits of drinking water. There are so many good reasons why you should be using water as your replacement for a soft drink of hot beverage (First of all soft drink cost money,  water is FREE). All these reasons and more are going to be in short, easy to read list, as many sites put the information in long paragraphs, which can be hard to find what you need. If you found this helpful, I would really love it if you suggested it to a friend, or shared on your favourite social media!

Water can...
- Keep your skin clear,
- Help dissolve fats and soluble fibre,
- Prevent headaches,
- Flush, out toxins
- Put you in a good mood,
And also by drinking a glass of water at night, it helps you go to sleep, and on when you wake up helps you wake up

And in case you are wondering how much water you should be drinking, I have that information too:
- Men: 13 cups
- Women: 9 cups

So, that's is all you need to know about water and the change it can make in your lifestyle. If you have any other good reasons, please leave your suggestion below for everyone else, and, what beverage will you be substituting water with in your next meal.

DIY Magazine Diamond

Hey Guys!

Before I begin this exciting post, I am going to thank you all for 200+ page views! This is a big achievement for me, and if any of you have been coming back to my blog, every Sunday, I would just like to say thanks, and hope that one day you can comment on one of my post and I can reply back :) Anyway, on to the blog post!

So, todays post is something I have not really done before but hope to do more of and that's DIY'S! You may not know this but I am actually really enjoy crafts and creative things, so this is a post I have been wanting to do for a while. I will be telling you how to make this magazine diamond that is good to put on your wall. This is a super easy DIY and I will be having step by step guide on how to do this. I will not be including pictures as it is very self explanatory and when you look at the picture it will all make sense!

Materials:
- Thick cardboard
- Magazines
- Scissors
- Blue Tack (optional)
- White canvas (optional)

1. Cut out a square that is roughly 9cm x 9cm to use as a template.
2. Go through the magazines to find nice patterned pages, such as flowers, food, beach scenes, houses etc. Use the template as a guide to cut out the square pattern.
3. Once you have 14 different squares, cut them in half from one corner to the other.
4. Them assemble the triangles in the formation shown in the picture below. You could glue it onto a canvas, thick cardboard or just blue tack it onto the wall like I did.

I hope you guys enjoyed this DIY, and if you recreate this you can tag me in pictures on twitter and also follow me while you are there, @/blog_beautybits. Thankyou for the support!

Top 3 Lip Favourites

Hey Guys!

Now, I don't what girl does not like to wear lipstick, lip gloss or even tinted lip balm. Even at a young age, little girls are rummaging through there mums makeup bag and putting there lipstick on themselves, so this blog post should be relatable to every female out there. Today, I am showing you my top 3 lipstick / lip gloss / lip balm, which was very hard to compress down to only 3. Before I get into my top 3, I suggest you follow my twitter @/blog_beautybits to be notified when I upload a new post, as well as follow this blog and suggestion some post ideas. Thankyou for sticking with me, here we go!

1. My first lip favourite is the Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. This is a very buildable, purple pinkie colour with a glossy finish. Like I said it is very buildable, so the desired pigmentation can be acquired. I got this at a extremely good price for Australian cosmetics, it was $2 from the clearance section in Myer. It was in perfect condition, as was the other three I bought. The original price varies from $16 - $21, so as you can see, a very great deal. Over all, this is a perfect lipstick for day and night, in a shade suitable for all skin tones.

2. Another one of my favourite lip products, that also happens to be a Revlon product is the Super Lustrous Lip gloss, in Pinkissimo, (a very creative name). This is a very pretty pink colour that is not drying on the lips, and has a silky and lightweight feel. It comes in 11 different shades, $21 each, so I would recommend you wait for it on sale, unless you can afford the splurge.

3. My last lipstick favourite is a lipstick my MAC. It is a Cremesheen lipstick in Crème D'Nude. This is a very natural lipstick at the most expensive price of $36. I like to match this with the Revlon lip gloss buy applying the MAC lipstick all over my lips then putting a little bit of Pinkissimo on the centre of my lips to blend it out. Because of my pale skin, it helps to make the lips stand out a little more, and of course you can do this with whatever lip gloss you want. This lipstick is very hydrating, and has a very large variety of shades.

That was my top 3 lip favourites, these were mostly on the more expensive side, so If you would like to see a more low end top 3, then let me know in the comments. Thankyou for reading today, make sure you come back every Sunday, have a lovely day! :)

xx

P.S thankyou for almost 200 page views!!

So today, I decided to tell you guys my top 5 favourite books, and, if you have any suggestions for me, I would love it if you left comments in the comments section below. Lets get started!

5. The Body, by R.L Stine. This novel is a thrilling tale, that I read a few years ago and still remember it all. I loved to read this with my friend and all the other books by R.L Stine, definitely a good read.

4. Maze Runner Trilogy, by James Dashner. The books are always better then the movie, so if you have seen Maze Runner, then I would definitely recommended you read the books. There is always so many more details you don't know from the movie in the book!

3. Hunger Games Trilogy, By Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games movie took the world by storm, and so does the books! You can also see what's going to happen next instead of waiting for the movie, you can just read the book, which was exactly what I did!

2. Girl Online, by Zoe Sugg. This a well written book by the YouTube star, Zoella, with over 7million subscribers, was one of the first You Tubers come out with a novel. This book came out last year, and there soon will be two by the end of this year, I can not wait!

1. Paper Towns, by John Green. You may or may not have heard of the famous writer, and YouTube creator John Green, also famous for, The Fault In Our Stars, and has followed it up with paper towns. I love this book gone movie and definitely suggest any of his books.

So, if you are looking for a new book to read, look no further then this list! Show all your friends so that we can get this blog page to 200 page views! We are so close and I am so thankful to every single reader.

Back To School Makeup

Hey Guys!

Welcome to my latest blog post, and today I will be discussing school makeup. Now I know some schools may have strict restrictions against makeup at school and others ay not really be bothered, so this may not suite everyone but I decided to talk about it because it is back to school season for many (even though I live in Australia I still thought it would be fun, hehe) These makeup items I will be showing you are my favourites to wear to school or just a day I am not in the mood for heavy makeup but need a little something. With all that being said, I hope you enjoy!

I first like to prep my skin with the Neutrogena Oil-Free moisturiser with SPF 15. I LOVE the fact it has sunscreen in it because on days I know I am going to be outside it really helps me from getting burnt. It is nice on my skin and keeps it moisturised and a healthy glow. Next I go in with my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer that I put on any blemishes or redness. It does not have the best coverage but it does give some kind of correction to my skin. I like to pair this with my much loved Rimmel Stay Matted powder which I have purchased twice now. I have talked about this before in early post so you can jut check them! Then, t tame my brows I have too options depending how adventurous you are feeling. First is the Rimmel Brow This Way which is like a brow gel, helpful to fill in them brows as well as keep them in place. Another option is quite similar and that is a clear brow gel. You could use whatever brand you would like but I just happen to have the Elf clear brow AND Clear Mascara, which is something I also do. It helps to separate your lashes and add length and make your eyes look awake. And last but not least you need some sort of lip product and I have chosen the Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow crayon in mixed berry. It has such a beautiful scent and colour, just enough to make your lips a little tinted as well as keeping them hydrated.

These are all of my favourite products I like to use in the mornings before school or a lazy day. These products all work well together and I would definitely recommend them to you all. Don't forget to quick my twitter @/blog_beautybits to keep updated and to follow this blog for loads more beauty stuff!

Thankyou, Byee x

January Favourites

Hey Guys!

For my last blog post of the month, I decided that I would do a January monthly favourites. If you have never heard of this, it is basically where I talk about everything I have been loving this month. I will only post this every second month because it could get repetitive if it is for all twelve months of the year. Stay reading till the end of this post as I have an exciting announcement! Also, comment what your favourites were this month so I can check them out! With that said, lets get started!

I will first begin with my beauty favourites, my first one being my Stay Matte Powder by Rimmel London. I just had to include it because I use it every day and I love it so much. This was probably one of my best purchases and it was also very inexpensive for Australia makeup. Next is my Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye shadow primmer. This is only a sample but I know when it is finished I will have to repurchase. I have always wanted a eye shadow primmer to see if it works and it does! You could also wear it just on its own if you were doing a 'no' makeup look. This next product is a fragrance and it is the Taylor Swift Incredible Things perfume. Firstly, I just have to say the bottle it comes in is stunning and the perfume it self is stunning as well! It is really fresh and florally but not old grandma florally. I also own Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and Enchanted Wonderstruck but this one would have to be my favourite. Next is a skincare product by Benefit. I believe that this skincare range is new by benefit (don't quote me on this) and the product I own is there facial serum. This stuff could almost double as a perfume it smells so good! I also comes in the cutest bottle and comes out a gel like consistence. I use this at night before I go to bed and it makes my skin feel so smooth and it smells nice too! My next and last beauty-ish product is a hand cream by Burt's Bees. This is there Almond Butter hand cream which is also in the cutest packaging! The smell is delightful and the product it self is also. It does leave your hand a tad sticky for a few minutes but then your hands are so smooth. So that is all my beauty favourites, now for fashion!

This last category is kind of the miscellaneous category. These next three things are books! And, these are not any old books, they are made by You Tubers! The ones that I own are The Pointless Book By Alfie Deyes, Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and Makeup: Your Life's guide to Beauty, Style and Success Online and Off by Michelle Phan. All three books are very different, the Pointless book is filled with pointless activities!, Girl Online is a really good read about a girl who has a blog (which sparked my inspiration for this blog!) and she goes away and falls in love with a guy with a secret. I really, really, really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend you to read it too! Michelle Phan's book is a guide to beauty, fashion and everything else girly as well as a small biography of her life and how she evolved to such a huge inspiration to millions of teenage girls. All these books were defiantly going on my favourites and will be something I will always be reading.

So, that was all my monthly favourites, now for my exciting news! At the end of my monthly favourites, you guys will have the opportunity to be have your blog be featured in my next favourites. To enter you have to comment your blog name and the type of content you post. I will check out you blog and follow you, this opportunity open for the  month of March (as my favourites post are every second month). Then I will mention and link your blog in my next favourites, its that easy! Make your you guys are following my blog and twitter, @/blog_beautybits for updates and you guys can chat with me and I will follow you back!

Thanks, Bye!

School Makeup Look

Hey Guys!

This is my second and last instalment to my back to school blog posts! :( In todays post I have mentioned the things I use to do my makeup for school and what I would do. Not everyday of the school year do I put makeup on and to this extent. You too also don't have to put all this makeup on as well. I also would like to mention that my school also has rules for no makeup so this is some what of a 'no makeup', makeup tutorial. So, with that said, lets get started!

My first step is to apply a morning moisturisers with SPF in it. This just helps if you are on the go because it is all in one step. Next, I use concealer anywhere I think is needed, usually around my nose and any redness or imperfections. I don't usually apply it under my eyes because it starts to look like you have applied makeup and that's not really what I want at a school with no makeup rules. To then set everything I use a powder that is slightly translucent so it does not look to heavy and cakey. Next time to tame those brows! I like to use a clear gel to shape them and then I go in and do my lashes with that as well to look more awake. Lastly, I use a tinted lip balm to add some colour and moisturiser my lips!

That's it, my school makeup look! Like I said in the beginning this is not what I do everyday and I don't expect you to do that as well. I really encourage people to be positive about there skin and not always be covering it up. Be sure to check out my twitter account, blog_beautybits and also follow this blog so you can keep up to date! Today is also social Sunday so as soon as you finish reading this go chat to me on twitter! In the comment tell me what your favourite breakfast dish is! Mine would have to be toast on weekdays and bacon on weekends! Thanks guys for all the positive feedback,

Bye!

P.S. I did not put in images because I thought that you could use what you preferred but if you are really stuck you should defiantly check out my makeup essentials blog post here!
