Hey Guys!
Today I decided to make a blog post about the upcoming Valentines Day! Next week is Valentines day but, I wanted this in a week advanced so you can be prepared! This post will include the most affordable DIY you could possible get for Valentines day and three treats/drinks that you could have on Valentines day with your friends or someone special. With that said, lets get started!
When I think of Valentines day, I think of pinks and red love hearts!, and there is no better way to incorporate them into your bedroom by making a banner. The banner I made was the most affordable thing your could possible make this valentines day. The things you will need is fishing line and paint samples. You will also need all the other basic things like pens, pencils and scissors but they are quite self explanatory :) Almost all of these things you can find at home and paint samples are free and come in every single colour so the pattern and colour choice is endless! I chose to go with the pink and red colour theme and just branching off with different shades. The first step is to make a template of a love heart and I did this by folding a piece of paper in half and drawing half of a love heart. The I cut out the shape and I had a even love heart. After I had created a template I then traced that shape on the back of the coloured paint samples and cut all 6 out. Of course you can do as many hearts as you want but I just chose to go with 6. Then I laid out the piece of fishing line and placed the hearts out evenly and taped them down at the back. This creates a seamless, perfect DIY look great for valentines day. I hung this on my bed board, but you can put it any where.
On Valentines day you need some cute looking treats to have with friends or someone special. I have to food treats and one easy drink that I recommend to have on valentines day, or just really any day! The first treat is marshmallows dipped in chocolate. It is really that simple. All you need is melted chocolate, marshmallows, tooth picks (which I added cute love hearts on top my taping on cute love heart shaped paper) and sprinkles. You just dip the marshmallow in the chocolate then dip them in sprinkles, that easy! This was so delicious and super simple and I would highly recommend trying this out. A substitute for melted chocolate is nutlella, but I think that it to much of a hazelnut taste. My next treat is something that has to be made in advanced, red jelly. I made this by using the instructions on the box and when it was set I put some melted chocolate and raspberry MnM's on top. This looked super cute and also tasted really good. My last treat is a drink and I it just chocolate milk with whipped cream, chocolate, sprinkles and MnM's. I think this is perfect because it looks cute and its not something that you have on a everyday basis. So they are my three valentines day themed treats that are really simple and good if you are on a budget.

January DRUGSTORE Makeup Haul!
Hello everyone!
This Sunday, I am going to be hauling some makeup items I picked up in the last month. This is not really a new at the drugstore sort of thing, because in Australia, all the drugstore makeup places are not selling any of the new releases yet, so I have just been picking out makeup that people on YouTube and Blogs talk highly of. I would just like to say, thankyou to everyone who has ever read my blog, I am really enjoying blogging and have been planning and drafting so many exciting blogs for this year. I would really LOVE to know in the comments what sort of blog post you would like to see me do and are interested in, as I have some planned, but could easily use some more ides or inspiration. I am going to get hauling, but I jut wanted to let you know that I helpfully included links to all the products mentioned, if you just click the name of the product it will take you right to its website!
I am going to begin with Maybelline, as it is my favourite drugstore brand. The 24hr Colour Tattoo crème eye shadows are talked about so much in the beauty community, but I was not going to spend $11 per individual pot, so I waited when they were on sale, and picked up all the nude shades available. The 4 I own are 70 Barely Branded, 25 Bad to the Bronze, 45 Bold Gold and 35 Tough as Taupe. A review and better swatch of these plus any more I buy will be going up my blog in the next few months so look out for that! The other Maybelline products I picked up were the Colour Drama lipstick pencils. I really wanted to get the Nude Perfection shade, but everywhere I went it was not available, so I ended up getting the shade 140 Minimalist, 310 Berry Much and 420 In with Coral. So far, I have really been enjoying them and all the shades.
A palette I picked up from Priceline is the AC on Tour Contouring and Highlighting kit for light complexion. This includes 3 highlights and 3 contour/bronzer shades. I am planning to do a review on this palette in the future, so look forward to that.
Revlon sells some really nice Lip butters, and I picked these up from Trade Secret, for a really discounted price (Trade Secret does not have online shopping) . I got the shades 015 Tutti Frutti and 055 Cupcake. Again, I am planning on a separate swatch and review post with my other colours of this product. Kmart in Australia supplies a cheap makeup brand called OXX (not available on their website), and I got my hands on 4 of the lipsticks. I would definitely recommend using a lip brush for the application as it can come across streaky, but the colours are really nice, and for $2 its alright.
A brand I recently discovered in my town is called W7 (could not find these on any website, I just got them from Chemist Warehouse). I have heard of this overseas, but never realised it was available here. I got hold of two of the baked eye shadows, I am yet to use these but I am looking forward to try them out. The two shades I grabbed was Café Latte (the lighter shade) and Gold Dust (the darker one).
The last product is a blush by Elf and it is apart of the studio line. The shade is Twinkle pink and it is just a really nice blush. I am yet to build a opinion on this, but you will see if it is in a further favourites post if it is good.
So that were the makeup products I purchased in the last month. I have been trying to save my money to but more higher end makeup, as well as some online purchases, so if you want to see what is on my wish list, let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoyed reading this Sunday and I will be seeing you in a week!

Highschool Tips
Hey Guys!
You may or may not know, but, in Australia we are about to begin school again, so I decided that I would let you all know 10 helpful high school tips. I have been in high school for a few years now and a majority of these tips I have found helpful for me, so I hope they are helpful for you. If you have any high school tips, let me and everyone else know in the comments.
1. Be Brave! Now when you first start high school, join a club or get assigned a new class, it can always be difficult to make friends if you don't know anyone. When I started high school, I used these 4 conversation starters to get to know people, these were, what's your name? my name is ___, what did you get up to on the holidays, what primary school did you go to and what are you most looking forward to this year. Of course there are many other ways to talk to someone and get to know them, but its always best to just be brave and get yourself out there!
2. Now something that may seem weird but I definitely recommend you do for many reasons is to pack your own lunch. At my school, we have lunches there, but the line is incredibly long and takes you half the lunch to get your food, plus your spending all your money which you could be spending or saving or something else.
3. Staying organized is my top tip. Get a planner or a diary to plan out homework and assignments because it can really help you focus on getting good grades.
4. Something that I didn't really do, but would suggest you all do is to join clubs and school activities. You can broaden your friend groups and talents but I was just nervous and was not really keen.
5. Now this one is for all you girls, if you are on your period and having to change your pad, you will know that when you rip it open it can be very loud, so I suggest you tear them open before you pack them in your bad to school, as it is quicker and quieter.
6. Tip number six is to try and build a good relationship with teachers. This is because when you want to apply for jobs they can write nice letters about you, they can also help you with homework for other subjects and they will just always be there for you for advice.
7. The seventh tip I have is if you just want to not go to school one day for no reason at all, go. You WILL miss out on something, for school or socially, only miss a day if you really are sick or family problems.
8. Now, there will come a time in school when you will fail a test, but don't stress, worry or be caught up about it, in most cases, it wont affect you at all.
9. Try not to slack off on Homework, I know you may not want to do it, but as soon as you get it, do it then you wont have it worry about it latter on.
10. Now my last tip would have to be the one to take away from this ifit could only be one, and that is to be yourself. If someone does not like you for who you are then there is no point in being there friend.
So that's it for my 10 high school tips. Let me know in the comments your tips and the best one. Don't forget to follow this blog on the left and I will see you next Sunday,
Bye x

Real Techniques Brush Review
Hello Guys!!
Welcome back to my blog, I hope you are having a wonderful day and had a great week, and I hope you are looking forward to reading my blog post this afternoon. I have been wanting to talk about my Real Technique brushes for a very long time but have finally decided to sit down and talk about them with you guys. I am only going to talk about five of them, but have plenty more to discuss about. I am going to be talking about the good and bad of the brushes, as well as the price and what they are used for. Some quick background info about the brushes is the different handle colour. The silver and white handled brushes are limited edition, but the silver handle ones I have are still available, the orange coloured handle is for face, purple for eyes and pink for all over. Some of the brushes I own I got in sets and you can not get individually but these are brilliant brushes and great for beginners in makeup and every cent is worth it, but I would recommend getting them off a website called iHerb because they are so much cheaper compared to Priceline and Terry White Chemist. I will talk about iHerb more in tis post like the price comparison and shipping as they are an incredible website for us makeup brush loving ladies. With all that background information being said, lets get started with the review.
The first brush is the Buffing Brush. This is perfect to blend in your foundation or concealer to begin with, but you should definitely use a makeup sponge to give the face product a flawless finish, because it can leave some streaks. This is also great for blending out powder but it is a little denser if you prefer that. This could also be great to blend out cream contour as it is dense and perfect shape. This brush is apart of a set with three other brushes, two of which I am mentioning in this blog. At Priceline, this set is called Your Base/Flawless Core Collection, and it is $47.50, and on the iHerb website, the set is $24.92, so it is much more affordable. Shipping is also at a great price, and you get 10% of your first order.
A Duo-Fibre face brush is something everyone needs and this one is by far my fav! I use this brush everyday to blend in my powder and it works excellently. It is so stunning with the silver handle because it is limited edition, but I have seen that it is still available so you can still pick this up. This set is called Nic's Picks, and I noticed that is unavailable on the Priceline website, but I do know that there are plenty of other places they sell them at, and it is worth checking it out at Priceline just in case, but I do know that it cost $69 for the five brushes. You can get this on iHerb and it cost $41.54 so it is so much more affordable.
Available in the Core Collection I mentioned earlier, is the Pointed Foundation brush. This isn't my favourite brush, but it an okay brush. It leaves streaks and is not suitable to do a full face of foundation as it is so small but I do suggest using this for concealer or primer as it would take so long to do your full face of foundation with this. I mentioned earlier the prices, even though this isn't my favourite brush this collection is still worth it.
Another brush available in the Core Collection is the Contour Brush. I love this for contouring or lightly bronzing. It is also the perfect shape to set under eye concealer as all the Real Technique brushes are incredibly soft! It blends out bronzer incredibly well and packs it on well too! Like I said earlier, the price comparison of iHerb and Priceline is listed above.
My last brush I am mentioning in this blog is the Shading Brush. This is the perfect blending brush and basic lid brush as well. It packs on lots of product and blends it out effortless and soft. This I my favourite eye shadow brush and I definitely recommend it. On the Priceline website, this brush is $15! Where as you can get it on iHerb for $8.30, so this is so much more affordable.
So, that was my review of my five Real Technique brushes. If you want to see me reviewing five more of my brushes I would love to know! If you recommend any other brushes I would love to know in the comments as well. I hope you guys have been enjoying my blog, I have loved posting lately and have so many fun post planned for the up coming months.
See you next Sunday!
